DATA draws $30m as Fission lands $10m Series A

Crypto and blockchain projects have announced at least $51.4 million across six disclosed financings during Oct. 10–16, led by Sui Foundation’s $30 million strategic investment in DATA Network.

Summary

  • Six disclosed financings totaled $51.4 million during the Oct. 10–16 reporting period.
  • Sui Foundation announced a $30 million strategic investment as DATA Network prepares to migrate.
  • Fission’s $10 million Series A drew backing from Pantera Capital and Circle Ventures.
  • Zaria raised $5.2 million while pursuing a US national trust-bank charter.
  • Multiliquid disclosed $8 million in cumulative funding; its new seed amount remains undisclosed.

Crypto Fundraising and DefiLlama provided the starting deal lists, checked against company announcements and reporting on individual transactions. Four further announcements covered investments without a disclosed new-round amount, including Multiliquid’s seed financing.

The disclosed tally combines venture rounds, equity financing, and strategic investment announcements. It excludes acquisitions, undisclosed checks and Multiliquid’s cumulative figure, and measures announced financing amounts rather than independently confirmed cash transfers.

DATA Network leads crypto funding with $30 million investment

Sui Foundation’s Oct. 12 announcement put its planned DATA Network investment at $30 million, establishing the foundation as the network’s largest institutional holder alongside continuing holders PIP Labs and DATA Foundation.

As crypto.news previously reported, the agreement pairs that investment with DATA Network’s planned migration to Sui. The organizations said DATA’s independent blockchain would retire after the protocol moves, while its token would carry over one-to-one.

Sui Foundation said existing locked and vesting positions would remain unchanged, with holder economics and governance rights at least equivalent to their current terms. Walrus would become the default storage layer for DATA Foundation applications.

The foundation described Trace as a registry that records the origin of AI training data, the rights attached to contributions and payments to contributors. Its announcement presented the investment as a long-term strategic arrangement.

Fission secures $10 million for tokenized fund liquidity

Fission’s $10 million Series A was led by Pantera Capital, according to TokenPost’s Oct. 15 report. Circle Ventures, Borderless Capital and Ari Rubenstein participated in the financing, which the report said closed in September.

The New York company purchases tokenized fund interests from investors seeking an exit before the underlying fund completes its normal redemption process. TokenPost described a platform where holders connect a wallet and submit a sale request, with Fission handling the purchase and related transaction work.

The report said Fission had not disclosed a valuation. Its account described certain fund interests that ordinarily take around 200 days to sell, with Fission offering settlement in 90 seconds or less for a fee.

The financing falls within this roundup’s announcement window; its reported September closing date is separate from its October disclosure.

Zaria raises $5.2 million as trust-bank application remains pending

Zaria Systems announced $5.2 million in seed funding on Oct. 14, with Lightspeed Venture Partners leading the round.

The company provides loan servicing, backup servicing, collateral management and agency services for structured finance and digital asset-backed lending. Zaria said the capital would support hiring, technology development, and expansion of its existing services.

“This financing lets us accelerate growth and scale our existing services,” co-founder and CEO Emily Barron said.

Zaria’s announcement linked the financing to its pending application to charter Zaria National Trust Bank through the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The proposed institution would limit its activities to trust-company operations and related services.

The company said consolidation of those services under a federally regulated trustee would depend on charter approval.

Funding under $5 million backs sports payments, stock lending and AI

  • GetPicks announced a $3 million equity round backed by gaming industry angels and operators. In its Oct. 16 announcement, the Atlanta company said the proceeds would fund US expansion and product development. Crypto Fundraising describes its payouts as USDC-based; GetPicks reported more than 35,000 registered users across 21 US states.
  • Spout announced a $2 million strategic round on Oct. 15. Its release named Draper Dragon, Anchorage Digital and Flow Traders among participants. Spout proposes USDC loans against tokenized US stocks at 50% loan-to-value, funding lender payments through covered-call premiums. The company said its beta runs on Solana Devnet and is not live on mainnet.
  • Orbio completed a $1.2 million seed round, BlockBeats reported on Oct. 10, citing the project’s announcement. The report said proceeds would support infrastructure for AI agents, computing and private systems; participating institutions were not named.

Undisclosed rounds include Multiliquid and three Tether-backed investments

  • Multiliquid announced a Polychain-led seed round on Oct. 15, naming Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures, Generative Ventures and Circle Ventures as participants. Uniform Labs’ announcement put cumulative funding at $8 million. Founder Will Beeson told The Block that the total spans pre-seed and seed rounds, without disclosing their individual sizes.
  • EFY Finance received Tether investment through its seed round, announced Oct. 13. Tether said EFY’s stablecoin payment network spans 17 countries and serves more than 25,000 individual and business accounts.
  • Saber Money secured strategic investment from Tether and CMCC Global’s Titan Fund. Its Oct. 15 announcement said proceeds would support regulatory licenses, banking partnerships and payment expansion across Asia and the Gulf.
  • AIsa received strategic investment from Tether Capital on Oct. 15. Tether said the platform lets AI agents purchase data, software, and computing services using fiat or stablecoins, with businesses setting spending limits.
